Celebrating Dunfermline Tennis Club’s Record Success in the Women’s Scottish Cup Centenary

Dunfermline Tennis Club has been honoured for their exceptional accomplishments in Scotland’s leading club competition, the Women’s Scottish Inter-Club Challenge Cup. During the centenary celebrations of the Women’s Scottish Cup, representatives from Dunfermline Tennis Club were bestowed with a commemorative quaich in recognition of their remarkable success. Among the recipients were the current 75+ ITF Masters Tour world number one, Marjory Love, the long-standing Scottish Cup player Christine Lockhart, and the young 15-year-old prodigy Anna McKnight, who has emerged as one of the youngest champions in the history of the competition.

The dominance of Dunfermline’s women’s team was evident during the late 1980s and 1990s, as they clinched an unprecedented nine consecutive titles from 1988 to 1996, along with a victory in 1999.
