The esteemed refurbishment project at The Paddox pub in Hill Morton, Rugby has commenced. After a recent closure, the establishment is set to reopen at the end of August, rebranding itself as a traditional pub that aims to become a central hub within the local community. The refurbishment is anticipated to create 15 new employment opportunities and promise a range of activities and amenities for patrons to enjoy.
The interior of the pub will undergo a significant transformation, including the addition of a seating area that can accommodate up to 64 guests. There will also be distinct zones established within the interior to create dedicated spaces for dining, lounging, socializing, and sports viewing. To enhance the entertainment experience, six high-definition TVs will be strategically placed throughout the venue, ensuring maximum visibility for all patrons. In addition, the pub will introduce a variety of activities such as live sports screenings, quizzes, open mic nights, and regular entertainment nights. Darts and pool teams will also be formed to participate in local leagues, further fostering a sense of community engagement.
The exterior of The Paddox will also undergo a makeover, with new signage and festoon lighting contributing to an inviting ambiance. External seating for 50 people and ample parking will be made available to accommodate larger crowds, with the intention to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that will appeal to a broad spectrum of visitors.
When it comes to the menu, The Paddox will feature an array of traditional pub favourites, including their renowned Sunday roasts, which have been described by the management as “good quality” and “reasonably priced”. The establishment will also offer a special menu for children, in addition to tailored promotions on different days of the week. The drinks selection will be equally diverse, encompassing a variety of beers, cider, wine, spirits, non-alcoholic beverages, and freshly brewed coffee.
Lee Dishington, Investment Manager at Star Pubs, expressed confidence about the relaunch, stating that the strategic location of The Paddox near several schools makes it an ideal destination for families. This refurbishment is just one component of the comprehensive £39 million investment that Star Pubs and Bars is making in 621 pubs this year. The company’s commitment to revamping and revitalizing the pub ecosystem underscores its dedication to providing exceptional experiences for patrons across the country.
As The Paddox nears the completion of its refurbishment, anticipation is building for its grand reopening, promising an exciting and inviting atmosphere for locals and visitors alike.
