The Girls J9/10 tournament, held at the Perth Hockey Stadium from July 8 to July 10, was a testament to the exceptional talent and unwavering dedication of the young athletes to the sport.
A total of 12 teams participated in the event, engaging in pool matches on the opening day. Based on their performances in the pool matches, the teams were then divided into two divisions.
In an exciting Division 1 showdown, Victoria Park emerged victorious by defeating Bunbury with a solid 2-0 scoreline. Victoria Park displayed exceptional form throughout the tournament, winning all of their matches and securing the championship title. Despite an impressive undefeated run, Bunbury fell just short against the formidable Victoria Park team.
The Division 2 Grand Final was a thrilling encounter, with YMCC showcasing their prowess by securing a 3-0 victory over Busselton to claim the Championship.
