Hailing from Holywell, Ian Buckett’s legacy in the rugby world is truly remarkable. Commencing his career at Delyn RFC, his exceptional talent swiftly propelled him to the Welsh Schools team. He subsequently played for various North Wales clubs and Birkenhead Park before transferring to Swansea, where he spent nine seasons and gained recognition for his exceptional prowess on the field.
Throughout his tenure at Swansea, Ian’s career reached greater heights as he represented Wales U21, Wales A, and earned three full caps for the Welsh national team. Additionally, he had the honour of representing the Barbarians, showcasing his exceptional skills on an international stage.
