The Vegas Golden Knights have announced a new partnership with the ECHL’s Tahoe Knight Monsters. This agreement establishes the Knight Monsters as the official ECHL affiliate of the Vegas Golden Knights and Henderson Silver Knights, marking the beginning of a multi-year collaboration.
Situated in Stateline, Nevada, the Knight Monsters were founded in November after obtaining approval from the ECHL to join the league in July 2023. This affiliation will allow players to move between the Vegas and Henderson teams and the Tahoe Knight Monsters.
Kelly McCrimmon, General Manager of the Vegas Golden Knights, conveyed his excitement about the agreement, stating, “Two crucial objectives in our organization are to cultivate strong hockey players and expand the game of hockey in Nevada. Our new partnership with Tahoe ensures that our prospects will develop in a top-notch environment, and our Hockey Operations personnel will collaborate with an excellent business staff to deliver an exciting product to a new fanbase. We are delighted to welcome the Knight Monsters here to Nevada.”
The recently appointed head coach of the Knight Monsters is Alex Loh, who brings a wealth of experience to the position. Loh previously served as the interim head coach of Vegas’ former ECHL affiliate, the Savannah Ghost Pirates, and as head coach of the Adirondack Thunder for three seasons. Under his guidance, the Knight Monsters will begin play in October at the Tahoe Blue Event Center, and the full schedule for the 2024-25 ECHL season is readily available for fans.
