Ukrnafta Announced as General Partner of Tryzub Hockey Club

PJSC Ukrnafta has recently been announced as the official general partner of the Tryzub hockey club located in Kyiv. This strategic partnership is geared towards the advancement of hockey in Ukraine and the attraction of more young individuals to the sport. Through its support of Tryzub, Ukrnafta aims to not only strengthen the club’s position in Ukrainian hockey but also to foster its overall growth and development.

Maksym Miklashevsky, the director of the Ukrnafta marketing department, underlined the importance of sports in the nation’s lifestyle, emphasizing that it not only promotes a healthy way of life but also instils values such as teamwork and resilience. He stated, “By backing youth hockey, we are investing in the future of Ukraine, as these young men and women will be the leaders of our nation tomorrow.”

In response, Yevhen Zyk, the General Manager of Tryzub Hockey Club, expressed gratitude to Ukrnafta for their support and confidence in the initiative. He emphasized that this collaboration will open up new opportunities for the club and will significantly contribute to the promotion of hockey in Ukraine.

In addition to this recent partnership, Ukrnafta also engaged in a fuel partnership with FC Shakhtar in July 2024. As the largest oil producing company in Ukraine, Ukrnafta operates a national network of gas stations. The company took over the management of Glusco’s assets in March 2024 and currently oversees 545 filling stations, with plans to implement a comprehensive program to revitalize operations and update the format of these stations.

Furthermore, since February 2023, Ukrnafta has been offering its own fuel coupons and NAFTA Cards, available for purchase by legal entities and individuals through Ukrnafta-Postach LLC. It is important to note that the largest shareholder of Ukrnafta is NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy, holding a stake of 50% plus one share. Following a decision in November 2022, the Ministry of Defense now manages the corporate rights that were previously owned by private individuals, solidifying the company’s ties to the state.

The partnership between Ukrnafta and Tryzub Hockey Club presents a significant opportunity for both parties to have a positive impact on the development and promotion of sports in Ukraine. Through their collaboration, they aim to encourage more young individuals to participate in the sport of hockey and pave the way for a brighter future for the country.
