Enhanced Bus Services in Rugby Following Council Updates

Warwickshire County Council has announced a series of bus service improvements in the Rugby area. Notably, the 4/4A Service in Cawston Grange via Trussell Way will now operate every 15 minutes during weekdays from 7am to 6pm.

In addition to this, the council has revealed plans for new, extended, or revised services in Nuneaton and North Warwickshire. Changes will affect the 41, 15, 20, 41, 56, 57, and 66 services, as well as revised timetables for Services 24, 25, 42, 748, 761, and 85/85B. These changes will take effect from Saturday, July 20.

Jan Matecki, the Portfolio Holder for Transport and Planning at Warwickshire County Council, has expressed excitement about these developments. “We are dedicated to enhancing public transport across Warwickshire, and these changes will offer passengers more frequent services, new journey options, and extended operating hours,” said Matecki. “We are confident that these improvements will make bus travel more appealing for everyone.”

These changes are part of a two-year investment programme aimed at improving the county’s bus network, made possible by a £5.5 million grant from the government’s Bus Service Improvement Plan.
