Get Active and Have Fun with Free Weekly Tennis Sessions in Burnley Parks

Looking for a fun way to stay fit and enjoy the outdoors? Look no further! Burnley and Padiham parks are now offering free weekly social tennis sessions. And the best part? You don’t need to be a tennis pro to join in the fun!

The council has teamed up with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and Burnley Tennis Club to make improvements to public courts and encourage people of all ages to get involved. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, these sessions are open to everyone.

The first session will take place at Queen’s Park in the next couple of weeks. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people, get some exercise, and work on your tennis skills. The sessions run for one hour every weekend at 10am.

But that’s not all! The scheme will soon be expanded to other parks in Burnley and Padiham, including Scott Park, Ightenhill Park, and Memorial Park. So, no matter where you live, you’ll have a chance to join in the fun!

Don’t worry if you don’t have a racket or any equipment. Everything you need will be provided at the sessions. Plus, each session is led by trained volunteers who will guide you through a variety of games and activities.

Families are welcome to join in the fun too! Just remember, if you’re bringing children under eight, make sure they’re accompanied by an adult.
