Bruce Lee’s Daughter Calls Out Quentin Tarantino’s Portrayal of Her Father in 2019 Film

Hey everyone! So, you know that 2019 film ‘Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood’ directed by Quentin Tarantino? Well, Bruce Lee’s daughter, Shannon Lee, has some thoughts about how her dad was portrayed in it. And let me tell you, she’s not too happy about it. In the movie, Bruce Lee, played by Mike Moh, comes off as pretty arrogant. But Shannon doesn’t understand why Tarantino decided to show her father that way. She’s never even met the guy! But she does acknowledge that Tarantino seems to think her dad is cool because he’s borrowed from him in his other movies like ‘Kill Bill: Vol 1’ and ‘Vol 2’. However, Shannon believes that Tarantino has heard a lot of negative stories about her dad from people who didn’t like him. And guess what? Most of those stories are from white men. Shannon thinks Tarantino may have believed those stories and that’s why he portrayed her dad as an ‘arrogant a**hole’. But she wants to set the record straight. She says her dad wasn’t generally like that. Sure, everyone can be an a**hole sometimes, but that wasn’t the real Bruce Lee. He was passionate and driven. Unfortunately, Bruce Lee passed away in 1973 at the young age of 32. His cause of death was cerebral edema. Before he died, he had two children with his wife, Linda Lee Cadwell – Shannon and Brandon. Brandon tragically died in 1993 after being shot on the set of ‘The Crow’. It’s really sad. Anyway, Shannon has been speaking out about her dad’s portrayal in the film because she doesn’t want people to think he was a jerk. And you know what? I think she’s doing a great job defending her dad’s legacy. It’s important to set the record straight, right? So, what do you think about all this? Let me know in the comments!
