Ethan Ryan is buzzing about his move to Salford Red Devils, saying that our style of rugby is exactly what he loves to play. The talented Ireland international has signed a three-year deal with the club, following a successful stint at Hull KR. During his time at Hull KR, Ryan showed off his skills, scoring 22 tries in 42 appearances and proving his versatility. In an exclusive interview with our YouTube channel, Ryan expressed his excitement about the confirmed switch.
“I’m really excited,” Ryan said with a big smile. “It’s a bit different now. I’ve been at Hull KR for the past four years, but when the opportunity came up to join the Red Devils, I took it without hesitation. I can’t wait to get started!”
Ryan will also have a reunion with Kurt Haggerty, who he played alongside during his time at Bradford. Haggerty, now an Assistant Coach at Salford, played a role in Ryan’s decision to make the move.
“I’ve known Kurt for a long time,” Ryan explained. “We used to play together at Bradford, and when the club got in touch with my agent, we had a meeting. From what I’ve seen, I love the way the club plays, the style of rugby under Rowls. It’s a big factor for me. It suits my game perfectly. There’s a lot of attacking flair, and that’s the type of rugby I enjoy playing. So, that’s why I decided to do it!”
