A seven-year-old boy from Grantham had the time of his life last Saturday when he became the official mascot for his favourite ice hockey team, the Nottingham Panthers. Franky Mann got to lead the players onto the ice, show off his skating skills during the warm-up, and even drop the ceremonial puck. The crowd went wild as Franky stole the show! And he wasn’t the only famous face in the crowd. Professional boxer Leigh Wood, who lives in Nottingham, joined Franky to perform the national anthem. It was a night to remember for Franky, who also plays for the Nottingham Lions under 10s team and trains three times a week.
