McIlroy is also a co-founder of TMRW Sports, the parent company of TGL. TGL, presented by SoFi, is a new golf league that focuses on technology, innovation, and fan engagement. It features top players from around the world in a two-hour, team golf competition that combines physical and virtual golf. The matches will be aired in primetime on ESPN starting from January 9, 2024. The Boston Common Golf team will compete in five regular season matches against other TGL teams, followed by a four-team postseason with semifinals and a championship series. The matches will take place at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach, Florida, which offers a unique experience for fans with its data-rich virtual course and state-of-the-art short game complex.
Keegan Bradley, currently ranked world No. 17, has also joined Boston Common Golf. Bradley has recorded six PGA TOUR wins, including the 2011 PGA Championship. He expressed his pride in representing New England and being part of a team backed by Fenway Sports Group, calling it a dream come true.
Adam Scott, ranked world No. 45, is another addition to the Boston Common Golf team. Scott has 14 PGA TOUR victories and has been selected for the Presidents Cup and World Cup multiple times. Tyrrell Hatton, ranked world No. 12, completes the roster of Boston Common Golf. Hatton has one PGA TOUR victory and has represented Europe in the Ryder Cup.
