Women’s tennis at Auburn University is hosting the Auburn Invite this weekend. The tournament will take place at the Yarbrough Tennis Center and will feature nine teams, including Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, Florida, Penn State, Clemson, and Furman. Six Tigers players, DJ Bennett, Kaitlyn Carnicella, Selin Ovunc, Adeline Flach, Ali DeSpain, and Ava Esposito Cogan, will be participating in the event. Ava Esposito Cogan is on a winning streak of three singles matches and recently won the Roberta Alison Fall Classic. Selin Ovunc and DJ Bennett had a successful run in the doubles main draw of the ITA All-American Championships. The tournament will begin with doubles matches on Friday at 1 p.m. CT, followed by singles matches. On Saturday, singles matches will start at 10 a.m., followed by doubles matches. The finale on Sunday will begin with doubles matches at noon CT, followed by singles matches. Admission to the event is free, and live streaming video and results will be available online.
