UVM Women’s Soccer and Field Hockey Fall Short in America East Tournaments

UVM women’s soccer and field hockey teams were knocked out of the America East Tournaments in close matches. The women’s soccer team put up a good fight against New Hampshire in the quarterfinals, but couldn’t continue their winning streak against Maine in the semifinals. Despite a strong comeback, they fell short and lost by one goal. The field hockey team also faced a tough challenge against Cal in the quarterfinals. Although they controlled the game for long periods, they couldn’t find the back of the net and lost 1-0. With these losses, both teams end their seasons with respectable records. The women’s soccer team finishes with a 10-7-1 record, marking a successful double-digit win campaign. The field hockey team finishes with an 8-10 record. It’s disappointing to see their seasons come to an end, but they should be proud of their efforts and achievements.
