Somer Valley Tennis Club recently raised almost £200 for Breast Cancer Now in a fantastic event that brought together local tennis enthusiasts. The event, held at Somer Valley Tennis Club in Writhlington, was a fun-filled tennis tournament that saw twenty-four ladies from various local clubs, including Pensford, Bishop Sutton, and Beckington, coming together to support the cause.
The tournament, which was made possible by a community grant from National Grid, aimed to encourage more women and girls to participate in tennis. It was a doubles tournament, and the participants had a great time while contributing to a worthy cause. The event successfully raised a total of £190 for Breast Cancer Now.
