The Middlebury field hockey team has done it again! They clinched their sixth consecutive NESCAC title and their tenth ever, making history as the first NESCAC field hockey program to achieve double-digit titles. Their victories against Trinity College and Amherst College in the NESCAC tournament were just the beginning. The Panthers dominated the game, outshooting Williams College and securing a well-deserved win. This season has been nothing short of legendary for the Panthers, with an 18-0 record, the number 1 national ranking, and an impressive 10 shutouts. The team’s future looks bright as many key players will be returning next year. Caroline Segal ’24.5, Amy Griffin ’24.5, and Lilly Branka ’24.5 were instrumental in the team’s victory, and Sadie LeStage ’24 was named the NESCAC Player of the Week for her outstanding performance. The Panthers are now gearing up for the NCAA national tournament, where they will undoubtedly bring their A-game as the top-ranked team.
