Reflecting on his win, Homa expressed his excitement, stating, “It’s been a dream 10 or 11 days. It was a crazy day – I got off to such a great start and Thorbjorn was playing unbelievable. He kept pushing us along and Nicolai was playing phenomenal golf so it was fun. It’s kind of what you dream of, you want to be in the fight and it was fun to close it out at the end.”
Homa’s long birdie putt at the 16th, which appeared to be racing off the green before finding the hole, added to the excitement of the day. Nicolai Hojgaard secured second place with a flawless 68, while Olesen’s impressive performance earned him third place with eight birdies in his final round. Justin Thomas finished in fourth place, one stroke ahead of England’s Dan Bradbury, who delivered a solid fourth-round performance.
