Peyton Jones: The Goalie Who’s Taking the ECHL by Storm

Hey everyone, check this out! Peyton Jones from the Iowa Heartlanders has been named the Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Nov. 6-12. This dude was on fire, going 3-0-0 with a 1.00 goals-against average and a save percentage of .967 in three games against Kalamazoo last week. Can you believe it? He made 25 saves in a 3-1 win, 30 shots in a 2-1 victory, and a whopping 35 stops in another 2-1 win. That’s some serious talent right there!

Peyton Jones, who hails from Langhorne, Pennsylvania, has been killing it this season with the Heartlanders. He’s got a 3-2-1 record in six appearances, with a 2.76 goals-against average and a save percentage of .912. And get this, in his entire ECHL career, he’s played 56 games for Iowa and Utah, with an overall record of 28-17-5, one shutout, a 3.16 goals-against average, and a save percentage of .900. This guy’s got skills!

But wait, there’s more! Before going pro, Jones was a star at Penn State, playing 133 games and racking up a 76-44-11 record with four shutouts, a 2.88 goals-average, and a save percentage of .907. That’s some impressive stats right there!
