Thanks To Some Strategic Changes By Coach Annie Lahey, The Greyhounds Went On To Win 12 Consecutive Games, Securing Their Spot In The NCAA Division 2 Tournament For The Fourth Year In A Row.

In A Thrilling NCAA First-Round Game, Assumption Emerged Victorious With A 2-1 Win Over St. Anselm, Earning Them A Well-Deserved Place In The Final Four For The Third Consecutive Year. Coach Lahey, Who Was Named The Northeast-10 Conference Coach Of The Year, Expressed Her Excitement, Saying, “It’s Really Exciting.”

Looking Ahead, Assumption Is Gearing Up For A Rematch With East Stroudsburg In The National Semifinal, Scheduled For 2 P.M. On Friday In Manchester, N.H. Coach Lahey Emphasized The Team’S Transformation, Stating, “We’re Such A Different Team Than When We Played Them Early In The Season. We Have A Different Formation And A Much Different Approach To Our Offense And Our Support Of The Offense. I Think That’s Going To Be A Different Look For ESU.”

In The Recent First-Round Victory, Graduate Student Lily Daly Shone With Both Assumption Goals, Supported By Sophomore Chloe Kaeller And Sophomore Elle Murray. Coach Lahey Commended The Team’S Resiliency, Highlighting Their Ability To Bounce Back And Secure The Win.

Reflecting On Last Season’S Semifinal Losses, Coach Lahey Stressed The Importance Of Maintaining Consistency Throughout The Game, Stating, “We Have To Have Four Strong Quarters And Withstand Their Offensive Assault And Really Minimize Our Defensive Errors.”

The Assumption Field Hockey Team’S Journey To The Final Four Is A Testament To Their Determination And Resilience. As They Prepare To Face East Stroudsburg Once Again, The Greyhounds Are Poised To Showcase Their Transformed Approach And Aim For A Triumphant Outcome.
