LMU Women’s Basketball Welcomes New Stars for the 2024-2025 Season
Hey basketball fans! LMU’s women’s basketball team is gearing up for an epic 2024-2025 season with some seriously talented new recruits. Coach Aarika Hughes is all about keeping it local and she’s bringing in some top-notch players from Southern California. Let’s meet the new stars: Zawadi Ogot, Madison Watts, Allison Clarke, and Aniyah Riddell.
First up, we’ve got Zawadi Ogot, a 5’10 guard from Corona, CA. This girl is a force to be reckoned with on the court. Coach Hughes is hyped about her high-energy, two-way playing style, and her ability to dominate in transition. Zawadi chose LMU because of the awesome environment and the love she felt from the coaching staff. She’s ready to bring her A-game to Loyola Marymount University.
Next, we’ve got Madison Watts, a 5’10 guard from San Pedro, CA. Coach A. is singing her praises, highlighting her game-changing instincts and unmatched athleticism. Madison felt right at home at LMU, where she found a family-like atmosphere and a team of leaders. She’s definitely one to watch on the court!
Joining the squad is Allison Clarke, a 5’10 guard from Anaheim Hills, CA. Coach Hughes is stoked about Allison’s basketball IQ and toughness, and her dedication to the game. Allison knew LMU was the perfect fit for her both academically and athletically. She’s ready to elevate the Lion family to new heights!
Last but not least, we’ve got Aniyah Riddell, a 6’1 forward from Phoenix, AZ. Aniyah’s spirit led her to LMU, where she found amazing people, a beautiful campus, and top-notch academic programs. Coach Hughes can’t stop raving about her as a true student of the game and a warrior in the classroom. Aniyah is all set to light up the court and represent everything LMU stands for.
