The Yale women’s basketball team faced a tough loss to Boston University in their third game of the season. The game took place at Case Gymnasium in Boston, and the Bulldogs were hoping to secure their first win after a challenging defeat to Saint Joseph’s. The match started with the Terriers sinking two free throws, but the Bulldogs fought back with impressive plays from Mackenzie Egger, Nyla McGill, and team captain Jenna Clark. Despite their efforts, Boston began to pull away in the second period, leading by five points at halftime. The Bulldogs continued to battle, but Boston extended their lead to ten points in the third quarter. Although Yale made a strong comeback in the fourth quarter, Boston ultimately secured the win with a final score of 60–53. Both teams had standout performances, with Caitlin Weimar and Alex Giannaros leading the way for Boston, and Kiley Capstraw and Jenna Clark making significant contributions for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs will face the Lehigh Mountain Hawks next, followed by games against the University of the Pacific and the University of San Francisco. They will then return home to play Marist after the break.
