UMD Men’s Hockey Team Rocks ‘Movember’ with Epic Facial Hair

guess who’s back with their epic facial hair? It’s the UMD men’s hockey team, and they’re on a mission to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues during ‘Movember’! This awesome squad is growing out their ‘staches for a cause, and it’s all about supporting men’s health, from prostate and testicular cancer to mental health and more. The best part? They’re doing it with a hilarious twist – by comparing their mustaches and having a friendly competition to see who rocks the best ‘stache!

The whole idea started with former UMD goaltender Ben Patt, who organized this fundraiser to show support for his teammates, goaltender Zach Stejskal and defenseman Will Francis. Zach battled and beat testicular cancer, while Will is currently fighting leukemia. Team Captain Luke Loheit is leading the charge, making sure the team keeps the focus on this important cause throughout the fall season.

According to Loheit, this cause hits close to home for the team, especially with Zach and Will’s health battles. He emphasized the wide range of men’s health issues, from mental health to cancer, and stressed the importance of shedding light on these topics. And let’s not forget the fun part – the team’s banter about who’s got the best ‘stache is all part of the effort to bring some levity to a serious issue.

If you want to support the Mo-Bro’s cause and cast your vote for the best mustache, you can get involved by donating and joining in on the fun. It’s a great way to show your support for men’s health and have a good laugh at the same time!
