Former Blitzboks player and head coach, Paul Treu, has selected his ultimate sevens team from the Rugby World Cup-winning Springboks. With the Olympics approaching, many XVs internationals are making themselves available to their sevens sides, sparking debates about the dream teams from the 15-a-side code. Treu revealed his team from the Rugby World Cup-winning Springboks in an exchange on social media platform X, formerly Twitter. In response to a post by @Oom_Rugby, Treu shared his sevens team, including Damian Willemse, Jesse Kriel, Kwagga Smith, Grant Williams, Cheslin Kolbe, Kurt-Lee Arendse, and Canan Moodie. Treu’s career as the Blitzboks’ head coach was marked by numerous achievements, including winning the Sevens World Series title in 2009 and coaching the side at three Rugby World Cup Sevens. He is currently the head of rugby at the University of the Western Cape.
