Senior Mikaela Reese totally rocked the court and bagged the Tournament Most Valuable Player title, leading the team to a sweet victory over Susquehanna University with a final score of 58-41. This win also secured the Susquehanna University Tip-off Tournament title for the Bulldogs. It’s been a while since these two teams faced off, and this win marks the Bulldogs’ second consecutive victory in the series, bringing their all-time series record to 3-5. The game started off slow, with both teams struggling to score in the first quarter. But the Bulldogs managed to take the lead and held on to it, finishing the first half with a slim 21-20 lead. In the end, the Bulldogs dominated the game, closing with a 13-0 run and holding Susquehanna scoreless for the last 6:50 minutes. Mikaela Reese was on fire, racking up 13 points, seven rebounds, three assists, three steals, and seven blocked shots, earning her All-Tournament honors. Lindsey Welsh and Megan Bealer also shone bright, each scoring 14 points. Bealer even snagged six steals, while Welsh made a mark with nine steals. Olivia Scotti added six points and seven boards to the scoreboard. On the other side, Julia Pinckert led Susquehanna with 15 points. The Bulldogs dominated the game, shooting 40 percent from the field and holding Susquehanna to just 26.8 percent. They also capitalized on turnovers, scoring 25 points off turnovers and forcing Susquehanna into 33 turnovers.
