First up, we’ve got TeAmo Ebron from Hostos, Harlem, N.Y. / Manhattan Bridges, who had an impressive week with 26 points, 16 rebounds, and four assists in a game against No. 7 Dutchess. He followed that up with another stellar performance, scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, and three steals in a victory at Suffolk. Way to go, TeAmo!
Next, let’s give a shoutout to Khalil Black from BMCC, Queens, N.Y. / Institute for Health Professions. This rookie had an outstanding week, averaging 19.3 points per game and 4.3 rebounds per game. In the Panthers game against Queensborough, Black dropped 16 points and showed off his all-around skills with four assists, two rebounds, and one block. Keep it up, Khalil!
And we can’t forget Isah Mohammed, also from BMCC, Lagos, Nigeria / Evangel Christian. Mohammed put up some impressive stats, averaging 16.0 rebounds, 9.7 points, 5.3 blocks, and 5.0 steals during BMCC’s three games last week. That’s some serious hustle on the court!
The 2024 CUNYAC Community College Men’s Basketball Championship is just around the corner, scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Feb. 14, with semifinal action at Kingsborough Community College. Mark your calendars for the championship game on Friday, Feb. 16. It’s going to be an epic showdown!
For those who aren’t familiar, the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) is an NCAA Division III and NJCAA Division III conference with 14 members across all five boroughs of New York City. Since 1987, the conference has been a leader in Division III, focusing on the student as much as the athlete in student-athlete.
