check it out! K-State’s Ayoka Lee and BYU’s Kailey Woolston totally rocked the women’s basketball scene and bagged some awesome awards. These two ballers led their teams to victory and totally owned the court.
Ayoka Lee had a bit of a rough start with some early fouls, but she bounced back and scored a whopping 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in K-State’s 65-58 win against then-No. 2 Iowa. She didn’t stop there, though. In another game, she scored 20 points and blocked three shots, helping K-State secure a 2-0 week. This senior center is on fire, averaging 21.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks, and shooting an impressive 60.0% from the field. This isn’t her first rodeo, though. She’s been killing it on the court and has earned her fifth Player of the Week honor. Way to go, Ayoka Lee!
Now, let’s talk about Kailey Woolston. This freshman sensation led all Big 12 freshmen in scoring with an average of 18.5 points per game. She’s a sharpshooter, hitting an incredible 66.7% on 3-pointers. In one game, she even pulled off a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Talk about impressive! She followed that up with another 18-point game, making four out of six 3-point attempts. This girl is on fire and she’s just getting started. And get this, she’s the first BYU women’s basketball player to snag the Big 12 weekly honor. That’s huge!
Let’s give a round of applause to these amazing players who are killing it on the court. Keep an eye on them because they’re definitely going places!
