Saunton Golf Club Announces New Leadership Team for 2024
The esteemed Saunton Golf Club is pleased to introduce its new leadership team for the upcoming season, marking a significant transition for the club as it embarks on a new chapter under the guidance of its newly appointed captains.
Men’s Captain – Peter Bond: Peter Bond, a dedicated member of the Saunton Golf Club since 2014, brings a wealth of experience and passion to his new role as Men’s Captain. His strong connection to North Devon and active involvement in the Saunton Veterans Association underscore his commitment to the club’s community. Bond’s chosen charity, Cardiac Risk in the Young, holds personal significance for him, reflecting his compassion and dedication to important causes.
Ladies Captain – Julie Gavin: With a membership spanning over a decade, Julie Gavin brings her extensive experience and leadership skills to her new position as Ladies Captain at Saunton Golf Club. Her involvement in various committees and boards within the club demonstrates a deep understanding of its operations and a strong commitment to its success. Gavin’s support for Street Games as her chosen charity reflects her dedication to empowering young people through sports, showcasing her admirable philanthropic values.
Junior Captain – Stanley White: A proud and devoted member of Saunton for nearly seven years, Stanley White has been an integral part of the club’s vibrant community. His upcoming role as Junior Captain is a testament to his dedication and leadership qualities, as well as the unwavering support he has received from fellow members and professionals. White’s aspirations to pursue a golf scholarship in the US further highlight the club’s nurturing environment and support for young talent.
Aside from the new leadership team, Saunton Golf Club has recently recognised the winners of its Autumn competition. Outgoing Captains Rob Tickell and Nicky Sandom had the privilege of presenting the prestigious trophies to the deserving winners, marking the conclusion of their dedicated tenure.
