Kendal Golf Club has launched a formal fundraising campaign aimed at securing £5000 for the acquisition of new equipment. The primary goal is to assist the greenkeeper, affectionately referred to as ‘Dickie’, in acquiring a turf cutter – a much-needed necessity, particularly in light of the pandemic. A club representative expressed gratitude for any and all contributions, regardless of size, noting the challenging timing for fundraising. The raised funds will be allocated exclusively towards the purchase of this essential machinery.
The club has extended an appeal to individuals who frequent their premises for leisurely strolls, urging them to generously contribute in order to maintain this communal asset. Stressing the importance of ongoing improvements, the club assured patrons that while the new tees may not directly enhance their scenic views during walks, the planned enhancements are crucial for strengthening the club’s foundation, ensuring its longevity and appeal for future generations.
